Herewith the November newsletter (albeit slightly late!). In case you haven't visited the site this month the new content is already up, so please have a look when you have some spare time. Remember that you can access all the latest recipes and content via our Content Feed.
There is a new and exciting addition to the website! We have recently launched a Forum where people are already discussing all manner of issues, including cooking, gardening and beauty. We'd love for you to join and help us create a great community.
We would like to wish a Happy Thanksgiving to all those celebrating on the 22nd November. We have a few Thanksgiving recipes on the website so have a search around if you are looking for something new to try. Christmas of course is coming quickly so now is the time to start preparing for the festivities. We have a useful Christmas section with loads of recipes, including the ever-popular Christmas Cake and Christmas Pudding.
In Gardening we have published an article on Good Weeds.
In Health & Beauty we have published a quick guide to The Perfect Manicure.

8 rashers unsmoked back bacon
Emmental cheese, sliced
black pepper
2 spring onions, finely chopped
1 large tomato, finely chopped and deseeded
1 tablespoon butter
(see measure conversions for more information)
- Chop bacon up into small pieces and put into a bowl.
- Cut four good rings from the apples, leaving the peel on.
- Remove the core from the four rings.
- Gently fry the apple rings in the butter until they are lightly coloured and slightly soft.
- Add to the bacon the tomato and spring onions.
- Season with black pepper.
- Place the apple rings on a greased, shallow oven proof dish.
- Pile the bacon mix in the centre of each apple ring.
- Top with several thin slices of Emmental.
- Put under a hot grill until the cheese melts and colours slightly.
- Serve with a crisp green salad.

A tasty starter that combines the flavours of bacon, apple and cheese.Ingredients
2 medium sweet apples (enough for 4 apple rings)8 rashers unsmoked back bacon
